RANCHO SISQUOC

About Rancho Sisquoc:The way we see it.

We're told the Chumash called the land Sisquoc or The Gathering Place. And it is as true now as it was hundreds of years ago. There's a good reason that the Santa Barbara County Vintner's Association holds its Harvest Celebration here. Wide open spaces stretch out across the valley and riverbeds to hills and horizon. Where else can you hang out on 37,00 acres and sip wine and eat gourmet food and pretend that you're a wine cowboy or cowgirl? It's truly spectacular.

That's why we say make Rancho Sisquoc one of your gathering places. Bring a picnic and leave your stress out on the two lane road winding through this wine region.

Wine Region News Episode:

This show we talk with winemaker Alec Franks and assistant winemaker Sarah Holt. They are great examples of solid upbringing by farming, ranching and wine loving parents. Sarah grew up on the ranch since her parents manage it for the Flood Family. Alec was influenced by his parents who learned to appreciate fine wine while stationed in Italy with the military.
